NFU fears cuts to farm bill spending

President Donald Trump addressed the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF)Monday to raucous applause by a record number of farmers, ranchers and agribusiness leaders.

Most farmers cheered for the Administration?s position on reducing regulation, cutting taxes, giving businesses room for growth and the promise of a new farm bill this year.

Roger Johnson serves as president of the National Farmers Union (NFU). This traditionally left-leaning group, with a history as long as AFBF?s, says the Trump Tax Cut is going to cut government spending on the farm bill.
