NCGA says Big Oil?s E15 claims are not true

Last week, President Trump directed the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to make E15 available to be sold all year round. This move was and is expected to draw much opposition from ?Big Oil.? However, the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) is pushing back against the petroleum industry.

A recent op-ed piece written by the American Petroleum Institute (API) claims year-round E15 is going to ?rip-off consumers.? NCGA President Lynn Chrisp says it is a false claim.

Chrisp says the oil industry only makes these claims because E15 cuts into their fuel market share.

Chrisp says while API claims the Renewable Fuels Standard is broken, it is working just fine for corn farmers and consumers.
