Source: Wikipedia

Iowa is the modern land between two rivers.

Both have been troublesome this year, especially the Missouri, on our west. The Mississippi hit major flood levels from Dubuque to Davenport.

Farmers’ major concern with the Mississippi River is keeping barge traffic moving and freight rates low.
