NCGA looking for uses for excess corn produced

We are familiar with many of the uses for corn. Feed and ethanol are just two of the crop?s many uses. However, at the end of the market year, there is still a surplus of product left. What can we do with it?

After all the corn is used for what it is going to be used for, we still wind up with almost two billion bushels of unused product. The National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) is looking for ideas on how to use the leftover corn. Jim Bauman, NCGA vice president for market development tells us about the ?Consider Corn Challenge.?

Bauman says the contest is an effort to find a developed idea that can create an almost immediate demand for excess corn.
