We don?t miss government until its gone.

Some may not go that far, but the livestock industry says the government shutdown is flirting with potentially serious financial implications for beef producers.

The partial government shutdown is into its fourth week and there does not seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to a resolution between the Democrats and President Trump.

Cattle industry lobbyist Colin Woodall says at this point, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) continues to do a good job, providing essential services the cattle industry needs. However, he says concerns are starting to mount, the longer this shutdown drags on. Woodall spoke to Ron Hays with the Radio Oklahoma Network.
