Many of us who are involved with agriculture have a person or persons who have helped shape us. They are the people who provided the guidance necessary to drive our passion. Invariably on those lists, we find an agriculture educator. Nationwide Insurance plans to honor these individuals.
Tuesday, at the Iowa State Fair, Nationwide Insurance kicked off the Golden Owl Award program. This program is starting in Iowa and Ohio. It is a chance for people to honor a deserving ag educator in their state. Brad Liggett, President of Nationwide Agriculture says he was inspired by talking to the Iowa FFA officers.

Governor Kim Reynolds was in attendance and said behind the bright future leaders of agriculture are dedicated ag instructors.
