Pork has been one of the sectors hit hardest in trade disputes this year. The pork industry has often referred to itself as being on the very tip of the spear. The National Pork Board is working to deflect the impact of that spear.

Pork exports are gaining a little bit of ground. This is a normal occurrence during this time of the year. While exports numbers are moving up, they are still behind where they were a year ago. Pork Checkoff?s Craig Morris says efforts are underway, through the pork checkoff, to find markets for a growing pork supply.

Morris says while exports are down to some countries, there are other options available.
