Marketing U.S. Ag products around the world is a huge job. Lately, we have focused on the negatives of trade. Negotiations and stalled trade pacts seem to dominate the waves. However, there is still demand from other parts of the world. The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) and the National Pork Board (NPB) recently showcased U.S. pork at an international event held in Puerto Rico.

The USMEF hosted the Latin American Product Showcase in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The event plays host to over 200 buyers from 23 different countries. NPB Vice President of International Marketing Norman Bessac (Bah-sack) talks about their participation in the event.

To help tell the story of U.S. pork, the National Pork Board brought two U.S. producers along to Puerto Rico.

The National Pork Board helps promote the pork industry through funding from the Pork Checkoff.
