Yesterday, we discussed some of the diseases that could be present in your fields. John Grandin also reminds us to be vigilant for stalk rot in corn, especially in the wetter areas of Iowa.

With margins being tight and input costs where they are, Grandin reminds producers to be applying fungicides for the right reasons. Do not be taken in by promises of higher yields.

Grandin adds when scouting pests, such as Japanese beetles, be vigilant and do not panic.
