Minor Inconveniences

I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. -Isaiah 46:10

Last week I was involved in a car accident that resulted in me being t-boned, my car probably totaled, and me completely unharmed.

The day, before I went out to my jeep and my tire had a flat. I needed a completely new tire, and I was completely inconvenienced.

After calling my husband huffing and puffing about my stupid jeep and my stupid tire, I drove my parents red Ford Expedition for the next two days.

During the accident I was driving my parents vehicle. If I would have been in my Jeep (which I always drive), I would have been completely crushed.

As I now stare at the Expedition’s door and the whole left side that has been plowed, I am yet again amazed at who God is.

My flat tire was an inconvenience to me, but my flat tire was a move of protection from God.

How often do we throw fits about something in our life that is actually God working on our behalf?

God may just be putting you in situations to save your life, or save someone’s life. We only see the snapshot of the things going on, but God see’s everything.

Today, thank God for the minor inconveniences because he is working on your behalf through them.

Prayer: “God, I am sorry for the time I complain about inconveniences in my life that you are using to accomplish your will and purpose. Remind me that you see the whole picture of situation. Thank you for protecting me. In your name I pray, Amen.”
