Merck Animal Health hosts Beef Media Event to create an open dialogue

Innovation is incredibly important in the ag industry, but sometimes it feels like most people aren’t aware of the progress we make. That’s why Merck Animal Health held a Beef Media Event down in Amarillo, Texas. By fostering a relationship with the media, they hope to be more transparent and provide more information to the public. Paul Koffman, North American lead of Merck Animal Health Intelligence, said they saw an opportunity to highlight their technology and products in an open dialogue with the media.

With this event, Koffman said they wanted to cover many different facets of animal health.

Some people may be confused to see a biopharma company focusing on reducing antibiotic usage by using technology, but Koffman said it all goes hand-in-hand to maximize animal health.

Koffman said there’s not just one overarching solution- they want to offer a suite of solutions that can suit any cattle operation.

Koffman also talked about some of the things producers can expect to see from them in the future.
