Make your precision tools part of your maintenance plan

It is nothing unusual to be thinking about off-season maintenance on your machines. Combines, tractors, and implements all need part replacements, lubrication, tires, and much more. But there is one area that you may not have thought about when it comes to your maintenance checklist; the precision and data equipment inside the cab. Case-IH reminds producers that those pieces of equipment need taking care of as well.

Chris Ehman is the Aftermarket Solutions Marketing Manager for Precision Solutions and Telematics at CASE-IH. Not only is it important to keep up with system upgrades, but with the phase-out of 3G technology (check local listings), it is imperative that your systems be upgraded to 4G technology.

To upgrade the system you need to contact your local CASE-IH dealer and find out what components you need to bring in. They will swap out the modems and get you upgraded. You will also have to upgrade your subscriptions through the CASE-IH Connect Portal.

Ehman says that you need to keep up with upgrades so you are able to get the most out of the system you are paying for. It will keep your data easier to manage, more accurate, and more interactive with the best the system has to offer.
