Landus Cooperative completes $27 million SoyPlus plant expansion.

Mark Cullen is Chief Animal Nutrition officer with Landus Cooperative.

He says the new expansion increases their soybean processing capacity by 50 percent.

?Which means we will take our two existing processing lines and add a third. We will process 20 million bushels of soybeans annually to produce approximately 575,000 of high bypass soybean meal for the dairy industry.?

Cullen says right now they are producing 35,000 tons monthly.

He says the expansion adds another 15,000 tons a month to their production.

?We?ve seen tremendous demand in the last few years as these products are recognized and that they truly work on the added benefit to the dairy farmers that use them. The testimate to that is that we sell this product nationally and internationally. It demonstrates our commitment to the dairy industry,? CEO Milan Kucerak says.

Kucerak says this project demonstrates their long-term commitment in value-added products too.
