The market for land sales and used farm machinery is still red hot in 2022. Land prices continue to climb at auction and used farm equipment in great condition is drawing numbers close to new prices at sale.
Tracy Coffland, a representative with Steffes group auctions, says that the market for land right now is still strong.
Tracy Coffland spoke with the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network at the 2022 Farm Progress show in Boone.
Coffland says interest rates caused a slight wobble in prices but land values are back up again now.
The used farm machinery market is very strong with new equipment being so tight on supply.
Coffland says that farmers should act quickly if they see a deal on used equipment because you don’t know if you will have a chance at a similar price point anytime soon with demand so high.
