When it comes to operating your equipment in the fields, a lot has changed. The technology inside and outside the cab keeps tabs on everything you are doing and compiling the data to help you better manage your field. John Deere is continuing to advance their technology to help you get the best out of your growing season.

When you look at the technology with which John Deere is equipping their machines, it all must start in the cab. No matter what implement is going through the field, the interface with the farmer is most important. Jenni Badding is Marketing Manager for Digital Technologies. She tells us that performance comes down to four pieces of equipment.

All the information that is being collected by the Operations Center can be accessed anywhere on the farmer?s mobile device. Badding also talks about the new updates in the January update of the Operations Center. It gives the user the same type of interface, no matter where they may be located.

Tracy Uhlman is Marketing Manager for Embedded Technology at John Deere. She goes through some of the other upgrades they brought to the Gen 4 Operations Center.

Badding discusses how the Operations Center gives the farmer complete control over who can access field and crop data. This keeps your information secure.

When it comes to sharing the field data with crop advisors or your local chemical retailer to help decide your plan, John Deere Operations Center can connect with over 180 software connection tools, and share information back and forth between the platforms.

Badding says that the connectivity helps keep you in contact with your dealer to troubleshoot questions about the software, or even remotely access diagnostic codes on the equipment to help prevent costly repairs in the future.

You may not have the 2022 technology in your machine sheds at this time, but if you are wanting to upgrade the technology on your existing equipment, John Deere dealers have upgrades available to bring the latest in-cab technology to your operation.
