John Block: U.S. agriculture would suffer from NAFTA withdrawal

There is a lot on the table for agriculture now in two areas: The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and Tax Reform.

John Block?s commentary is in regard to NAFTA. He?s a Republican, formerly serving in the Reagan Administration. You can tell Block’s unhappy with the Trump Administration renegotiating the twenty-five-year-old treaty, likely to see a negative result in U.S. agricultural exports to Canada and Mexico. It is hard to believe how much we sell to both countries.

However, that?s the reality of the times. My mother referred to it as cutting your nose off to spite your face.
