The Iowa State Dairy Science club gives Iowa State fairgoers the opportunity to learn about the dairy industry and allolws them to get hands on at its ?I Milked a Cow? exhibit inside the cattle barn.

Iowa State University junior Abigail Rogers says that the exhibit can help people that have no experience on a dairy farm to understand how dairy cows are cared for.

As you might expect, Abigail and the rest of the Dairy Science Club field a lot of questions throughout the 11 days of the fair.

Rogers says that an exhibit like ?I Milked a Cow? at the fair is a great way to spread knowledge about the dairy industry and help fairgoers connect with the dairy process.

Abigail Rogers is a dairy science major and is originally from Port Orchard Washington and chose to attend Iowa State specifically because of its dairy science program.

The ?I Milked a Cow? exhibit requires a $3 fee for participants to milk a cow. The proceeds go towards the Dairy Science Club and the exhibit is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the club.
