The Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning Center serves as a big portion in helping educate the youth about agriculture at the Iowa State Fair. The building is filled with volunteers educating the youth about animals in agriculture. You can see animals giving live birth, the newborn babies, and even get snuggles in with some of the animals while you help with chores in the mornings.

Rylie Wells from the Southeast Polk FFA Chapter talks about her experience in the Animal Learning Center and what a typical day looks like at the fair.

Wells mentions the point of the Animal Learning Center is to answer questions that curious youth ask about the different animals. She talks about some of the questions that she consistently gets in a day.

Wells notes her favorite stations to work at. She says that while they rotate from station to station, there is a lot of knowledge needed to answer questions for the public.

Wells talks about how she got involved at the Animal Learning Center.

Wells mentions what Cuddles and Snuggles is and how it?s a great opportunity to learn more about the animals while also getting those much-needed cuddles and snuggles in.
