The 15th Annual Iowa Women in Agriculture Conference will be held on August 5th, 2021. The event takes place at the FFA Enrichment Center, on the Ankeny Campus of the Des Moines Area Community College.

The theme for this year?s event is ?Conserving Ag?s Future Together.?

Cheryl Tevis is the President of the Iowa Women in Agriculture. She talks about this year?s theme, and why it is important to have discussions on climate, the new administration, Federal climate initiatives, and also the financial climate in farming.

Tevis talks about the lineup of speakers and presenters they will have at the event. They include Mary Kay Thatcher, Amanda Radke, Amanda DeJong, and more. It really is a ?who?s who? list in agriculture.

Tevis says that this is a great way for women to come together in a setting that makes them feel comfortable to be with their peers and look at things from their perspective in agriculture.

There are other activities the day before the conference. They include tours of the Iowa State University Poultry Science Farm and Horticulture Research Station. There will also be a complimentary welcome and Networking Reception that evening.

Early bird registration is $50 until August 2, and $70 after that date. Registration includes the pre-conference tour, evening reception, continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Register online in advance at iowawomeninag.org, by mail, or from 7:15 a.m.-8:00 a.m. on the day of the conference.

Early bird registration is required for the Pre-Conference Tour.
