Iowa pork producer elected USMEF Chairman

The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) held their strategic planning meetings in Long Beach, California last week. They discussed trade, markets, and policies. They also elected new officers. An Iowan got the nod to head the organization for 2019.

Conley Nelson is an Algona, Iowa pork producer. He is a past president of the National Pork Board and a 35-year veteran of Smithfield Foods. Nelson says he is humbled by his selection to head the USMEF.
