The Iowa Soybean Association works with other commodity groups to promote the Iowa Food & Family Project. During the Iowa State Fair, the Food & Family Project will be doing all it can to educate consumers on Iowa agriculture and giving fair visitors a chance to get a little artistic.

The Iowa Food & Family Project will be set up in the southeast atrium of the Varied Industries Building with a paint-by-numbers mural which fairgoers can help complete. Iowa Soybean Association’s Kelly Visser tells us about the project.

Visser says the fair is a great opportunity to connect consumers to the story of Iowa Agriculture.

There are other opportunities for fairgoers to be connected to agriculture at the Iowa Food & Family Project area.

The Iowa State Fair runs August 8th-18th in Des Moines.
