Robert Jensen from Neola, Iowa (Near Omaha-Council Bluffs) has his highest corn yield in 2016. He placed second in the non-irrigated no till-strip till division of the National Corn Growers Yield Contest. Jensen almost didn’t enter the field because it went in three weeks late, had wind damage and was badly “goose-necked” so harvest was difficult. Still, he produced second with an astonishing 332.74 bushels on Dekalb DKC61-54RIB. Ken Root spoke with Robert about the twists and turns of the season.
