Iowa Corn names 18 college students who will serve on their fifth Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team or CAT. Natalie TeGrootenhuis of Hospers, Iowa is one of those students. She is an Ag Business and Marketing major at Northwestern College. TeGrootenhuis was on the team last year and is excited to be selected again.

?It is a really great honor. It is something that I very much appreciate. Last year I was on the team as well and provided me with a lot of great friendships that I still have and puts me in a place to talk to people who are just as passionate about the industry as I am,? TeGrootenhuis said.

Students who are selected play a very important role in offering new ideas.

?We work a lot with the Iowa Corn Growers to give them a young person?s perspective on the industry because some point it is going to be our world and I just think it is just a really good program them have at the Corn Growers to promote the future of agriculture,? TeGrootenhuis said.

She said being on CAT provides her with experience to further what she plans to do when she graduates in May.

?Well someday I am looking to work in the marketing department of an Ag industry company. I think this increases my passion for agriculture and provides me with insight into what it takes to run corn and agriculture profitable business,? TeGrootenhuis said.

Don Hunerdosse who oversees the team says he is excited to work with these 18 students.
