The Iowa Beef Expo is one of the Midwest?s premier events. Cattle producers come from all over the state to talk about what is new in the cattle industry. It is also a chance to purchase new stock or genetics to increase the viability of your herd.

Mindy Campfield is the Executive Director of the Iowa Beef Breeds Council. The council puts on the Iowa Beef Expo every year. Campfield tells us about the busy schedule they have for this week.
Campfield says this isn?t about highlighting one breed over the other. There are eleven different breeds having sales at the event.
This is the event?s 43rd year. Campfield says the event has been often imitated but never duplicated.
