Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig says while some may see this letter as a push to get the ball moving for nutrient reduction in their respective states, Naig sees it as an endorsement of what Iowa is already doing.

Naig says while some states prefer to use regulations, Iowa prefers to use innovation. Naig explains this is a more efficient use of the resources at hand.

Naig says Iowa will continue to strive to improve upon what it is already doing, and look for new innovations.
