Today, I?m going to talk about growing industrial hemp. Not marijuana, but a crop that has a long history as a better fiber than much of what we use today.
We have to get past the laugh lines of smoking our shirts and/or the fear of going to jail for growing an illegal substance.
There is a twist here: Marijuana is becoming legal in many states, but it is not legal under federal law. Industrial hemp may become legal under federal law, but most states treat it as an illegal product. Smoke on that for a few seconds?
