We all remember Forest Gump. The man who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time in history. Not to be outdone, meet Philip Bradshaw. He is an Illinois farmer who calls himself the ?Forest Gump of Agriculture.? He has had a wild ride in the past six decades of agriculture, and he?s telling about it in his new book, ?Your Food – My Adventure?

Audio: Full Interview with Philip Bradshaw, Author of “Your Food – My Adventure.”

Philip Bradshaw says his sole purpose for writing the book came from a desire to reach the younger generation in Ag, and the disconnected consumers. Bradshaw chronicles his life from being a young man in 1959 to 2017. This includes a 2009 trip with former President Obama.

Bradshaw says his message to the younger generation of agriculture is, ?Be involved. Go to a meeting. Have your own adventure.?

Bradshaw says to make a difference, even a small one, you must get involved. You can?t wait for the world to find you. You must go find the world.
