This is the time of year that many in agriculture refer to as the meeting season. It is a time to gather with fellow producers and talk about issues, new technology, and make plans for your operation?s future. This is no different in the beef industry. As we get through winter and many producers are looking at marketing this year?s feeders and what they will have in store for next year, the Iowa Cattlemen?s Association (ICA) will be holding some educational sessions known as their Cattle Producer Forums.

Anna Hastert is the Communications Director for the Iowa Cattlemen?s Association. She talks about the dates and locations for the Cattle Producer Forums. They will kick off next week in Carrol, Iowa.

These events are open to any producer, not just ICA members. Hastert says that the information they are bringing across the state is important to the whole cattle and beef industry.

Hastert says it is a great time to get together with fellow producers, find out what is new at the trade shows, and get more industry updates from ICA and the Iowa Beef Industry Council.

Pre-registration is not necessary but is encouraged. You can find out more information on the Iowa Cattlemen?s Association website.
