A Bulgaria-based pharmaceutical company recently met with pork producers at the 2021 World Pork Expo in Des Moines.

Huvepharma ? which stands for HUman and VEterinary PHARMAceuticals ? is a fast-growing, global pharmaceutical company with a focus on developing, manufacturing and marketing human and animal health and nutrition products. Tony Weldon serves as swine business unit director for Huvepharma. He tells IARN that they have more than half a century of expertise in the fermentation and manufacturing of human and animal health products.

?I think when you look at the Huvepharma team, most of our individuals on the team have anywhere from 10 to 15 or even 20 years more of experience in live production in the swine business,? said Weldon. ?That helps us connect with customers, explain products, and go beyond the products to certain production practices that might be appropriate for challenges they may be facing. Our team brings that experience too and I think it?s unique.?

Weldon says Iowa is an important market for Huvepharma, and that they have a sales representative based out of Slater, Iowa. He adds they place a strong emphasis on addressing customer requirements which they believe can only be achieved through close partnerships. As far as products, Weldon says Huvepharma has a broad and diverse product portfolio, adding performance to the businesses of its customers all around the world.

?When we look at things that are coming down the pipe, we do have a tiamulin product that we?re going to be launching here hopefully in the next six months,? said Weldon. ?Beyond that, we have a Tilmovet AC which is a tilmicosin product that?s a liquid. We do have a feed grade today. This is a liquid product that we are excited about.?

Huvepharma has a distribution network which covers more than 90 countries in six continents. Visit Huvepharma?s website to find your nearest representative.
