How will El Nino effect winter in Iowa?

Weather is the greatest single factor influencing agriculture world wide too strong a statement? Floods and drought drive prices by reducing production. But rain makes grain and abundant rainfall can produce very large crops.

The big factor in weather for the coming year is El Nino a cooling of the water of the central pacific that meteorologists correlate with changes in precipitation. DTN Meteorologists conducted a webinar on El Nino and made projections of agricultural weather worldwide.

Bryce Anderson is Chief Meterologist for DTN. A 30 year veteran of weather forecasting, Anderson projected El Nino?s world wide weather influence in the year ahead.
