How to fix flowability issues when planting

by | May 9, 2023 | 5 Ag Stories, News

Eric Wilson is an agronomy manager with Wyffels Hybrids and he says that rapidly warming temperatures in the spring can cause humidity issues with your planter.

Wilson says that when the seed is not flowing properly through the hoses, the initial instinct is to increase pressure.

He says an added flowability agent can help to correct many issues that occur while planting.

The flowability agent should be added to the bulk hopper of the planter, says Wilson.

He says that when choosing a flowability agent growers need to familiarize themselves with the differences between talc and graphite.
