Solutions from the Land is a farmer led non-profit, created in 2014 that helps to advocate for the work being done by farmers and ranchers to care for the land they farm through agricultural solutions.
Solutions from the Land helps farmers to assess the current state of agricultural practices, research where agriculture is headed in the future, and make plans on how to improve farming techniques.
The not-for-profit group is currently active in more than 7 U.S. states says Ernie Shea, president of Solutions from the Land.
Shea says that after assessing Iowa?s agricultural economy, farmers found that the state was very efficient in its agricultural practices with a few areas in which improvements can still be made.
Shea says that farmers should be allowed to make changes to their operation when they are enabled to do so and not forced to change their farming practices.
