There are avian predators whose numbers have increased to the point that many livestock producers are wanting action against black buzzards and other birds of prey who are feeding on their lambs, calves and other animals.

Ethan Lane serves as senior vice president for governmental affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. Lane has been busy working on several things in Washington, D.C, which would benefit cattle producers.

One thing Lane has taken an interest in is a letter that was put together by several members of Congress concerning Avian predators. He spoke to Ron Hays, of the Radio Oklahoma Network, at the recent Farm Broadcasters Convention.
