The time for comment is now passed, now comes the biggest hurdle to having year-round E-15, implementation. Growth Energy is urging the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to unhitch the plow, as it were.
The comment period on E15 ended Monday. The summer driving season begins on June 1st. This gives the EPA roughly 32 days to have a year-round E15 program ready in time. Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor says time is of the essence for consumers.
Skor says we cannot afford any downtime. Any slow down or distraction could derail the progress made.
Growth Energy submitted their comments in support of the E15 rule. Their comments provided a framework to help make the year-round E15 rule more effective.
