Training is essential in any given profession. In the often-dangerous industry of agriculture, training in a safe environment is key. However, training where nobody gets hurt and no equipment gets damaged is a dream come true.

Growmark has a tool which is gaining widespread popularity. Their Rogator simulation tool allows users to train using the controls of a real machine in a simulated environment. Growmark?s Eric Wilcox tells us more.

Wilcox says the goal is not to get users trained to any one specific machine. They are trying to get drivers used to a variety of surroundings and how the machine might handle. The idea is to get someone used to the basics and build up from there.

The basic setup consists of three monitors; one in the front and two on the sides. For deeper immersion, there are also VR goggles available. These allow the driver to have a total immersion into the simulated world.

You can see a video of me testing the simulator, below. I wanted it noted, for the record, that they told me to roll it over.
