Grilling season boosts beef demand

Seasonal changes are happening, except in the snow covered regions of the northern plains.

Flooding is holding back progress in Nebraska, western Iowa and along the river. To the south, things are looking good with the grasslands and wheat fields of Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas having enough moisture to grow and sunshine to move into full springtime. Winter wheat is now transitioning over from pasture to grain.
