When it comes to smart sprayer technology there are fully equipped, stand alone smart sprayers currently on the market. However, a new smart sprayer technology has debuted during the 2022 growing season that provides a more cost-effective option for farmers.
Greeneye Technology has developed a retrofit smart spraying technology that installs onto a farmer?s existing sprayer. Nadav Bocher, CEO & Co-founder at Greeneye Technology, says that this is a new step forward for smart spraying crops.
Bocher says that the technology developed by Greeneye makes the sprayer more efficient and more effective because of that.
Nadav Bocher tells the IARN that the Greeneye sprayer can target specific types of weeds.
A recent study from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln found that the Greeneye sprayer system reduces non-residual herbicide use by 87% while delivering the same efficacy as broadcast spraying.
Bocher says that the Greeneye sprayer system uses much less product by targeting specific weeds and also delivering a much smaller target spraying area than other competitors in the marketplace.
The Greeneye sprayer system was launched in the U.S. in 2022 and has plans for expansion across North America in 2023.
