Grassley updated on trade progression

Senator Chuck Grassley told reporters, Tuesday, that he has been given updates on the progression of the revamped North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) by U.S. Trade Ambassador Robert Lighthizer.

Senator Grassley says Ambassador Lighthizer is optimistic differences between the United States and Canada can be worked out.

Grassley and Lighthizer talked about the sticking points as it pertains to agriculture.

Grassley hopes to see an agreement reached by the end of the month.

Grassley also talked about a trade delegation headed to Washington, led by China?s Vice Premier Liu He.

Some positive trade news is something farmers have been looking for.
