The Farm Bill deadline has come and gone. While there are still meetings happening on the contentious piece of legislation, it seems they are still stuck in the same place. Senator Grassley tells farmers not to panic.
Senator Grassley addressed the lack of a new Farm Bill in his weekly chat with Ag media.
Grassley says unless the House and President Trump back down their stance on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Congress will have to extend the 2014 Farm Bill.
Grassley had some passionate views on programs which House Ag Committee Chairman Michael Conaway (R-TX 11th) has supported in the Farm Bill.
