For the past two weeks, we’ve been hoping to hear a decision from the White House on how to fix the mess with the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS). We haven’t heard anything. Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley says the deal isn?t difficult and should have been done yesterday.

Last week, ethanol supporting lawmakers met in the oval office to lay out what they needed. Senator Grassley says they weren?t asking for much, just to get what they were promised. However, it feels the discussion is becoming more complicated than necessary.

Grassley says they had an agreement when they left the Oval Office. He says the EPA should have it on paper and out already.

Grassley said all this started two years ago over concerns of high Renewable Identification Number (RINs) prices. RIN prices have dropped drastically. The oil companies? concerns were dealt with, but they keep trying to squeeze more concessions out. Grassley says it is time to do the job or ?get off the pot.?
