Governor Reynolds hosted the Charity Steer Show on Saturday, August 10th. The show brought in a whopping $284,000 in funds raised for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Des Moines, Sioux City, and Iowa City.

In other good news, Governor Reynolds was pleased to report some major progress made in flood recovery along the Missouri River.

Permanent repairs to the levies will take some more time but stopping the inflow of water is key.

We also talked about the situation Iowa producers are facing. With trade uncertainty and volatile markets, Governor Reynolds renewed her call for Congress to pass the United States ? Mexico ? Canada Agreement (USMCA).

The Governor is looking forward to a few more days of meeting people at the Iowa State Fair to talk about their concerns and celebrating the state.
