Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds will discuss the significant role biofuels will play in Iowa?s energy future at the 2017 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit.

Branstad and Reynolds? appearance at the Summit will come on the heels of the recently-announced Iowa Energy Plan, which includes biofuels as an important aspect of Iowa?s energy strategy.

?Governor Branstad and Lt. Governor Reynolds have long been champions for Iowa biofuels and we are excited to hear their take on how biofuels will benefit our state as a significant component of the Iowa Energy Plan,? said Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw. ?We look forward to working closely with the Governor and Lt. Governor to expand consumer access to higher ethanol and biodiesel blends.?

The Summit is free to attend and open to the public. Registration is required. The last day to register is January 27, 2017. The Summit will take place at the Meadows Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
