It seems the United States has a list a mile long of countries we are currently working on trade with. Whether it was Japan, Mexico, Canada, China, or the European Union, getting our products overseas is essential. When we have a strong demand for our products, it can hopefully help foster negotiations. Germany has now become the biggest European export destination for U.S. beef.

Germany has a strong economy, high standard of living, and high per capita meat consumption. They are also very receptive to importing quality meat products. U.S. Meat Export Federation?s (USMEF) European Representative Yuri Barutkin talks about the factors which make Germany a good fit for U.S. Beef.

Barutkin says USMEF ramped up its promotions in Germany over the summer, and it is paying dividends now.

Barutkin highlighted the events in which they highlighted U.S. Beef to German consumers.

Barutkin says the feedback has been positive.
