FMC readies itself for anything in 2020

Preparedness and flexibility seem to be the hallmark lessons we learned in 2019. There were so many ways producers were forced to adapt their plans, but they weren?t the only ones. Companies like FMC are taking what they learned and trying to help producers be prepared for what 2020 could be offering after two previous years that weren?t a whole lot of fun.

For everything that went wrong in 2019, there were some positives. Disease pressures were not as strong in 2019, because the conditions never stayed right for any significant length of time. Tar spot was one of those threats which didn?t exactly materialize. FMC?s Brandon Schrage tells us more.

Regardless of what happened this year, next year can always be different. That is why FMC is prepared to handle tar spot no matter how strong or weak it is in 2020 with flutriafol.

Gall Midge was another disease question in 2019. It seems that right now it is a disease with more questions than answers. As this disease keeps spreading in the corn belt, FMC is continuing to work with university researchers to find answers and techniques for farmers to fight back.

Brandon Schrage will be back in a future episode to talk to us about the problems being faced with BT traited corn, and the options they have. To find out more about the products and services FMC has to offer your operation, check out their website.
