We are gearing up for the 2020 spring planting season. Are your tires ready? All the technology in the world means nothing if you can?t move it into the field. Firestone Ag has some tips to prepare you for the new year.

Brad Harris is with Firestone Ag tires. We ran through the seven-step checklist that they have available on their website. These tips include doing visual inspections on the sidewalls and treads. Also, make sure that you have your tires inflated properly. It isn?t always a matter of filling them to their maximum. Firestone does provide an inflation calculator online for you to use.
These are great areas to check on those implements which haven?t run since last fall. However, what about that planter that hasn?t moved in a year? Harris gives us a quick rundown of what to check on those implements which are idle 11 months out of the year.
Also, as more technology is added to our planting equipment; Harris says you need to account for the added weight that comes with some of this new technology.
