Producers and growers from across the country will attend the Farmer2Farmer Conference Thursday and Friday in Omaha.

The conference is being put on by the Farmers Business Network.

?We are a network. It is very different from a buying group, FBN Co-Founder Charles Baron says. ?We?re working with hundreds of different manufacturers across the country when farmers go to buy inputs through FBN direct.?

Baron says the goal of the network is to bring all types of farmers together in one place.

?That gives every farmer the advantage to participate in a system that is national. Corn and bean farmers in Iowa participate with wheat growers in Montana and rice growers in the delta.?

Baron says they deal with all the same manufacturers and many of the same global commodity players as well. ?That gives us to be able to get scale efficiencies for our growers…we also use a one price model.?

He says this creates transparency, fairness, and trust for farmers when they go to buy products while also saving them money.
