An upcoming event, featuring 1,000 premier American producers, provides a space for farmers to challenge the status quo, share straight talk and create the future of farming.

The Farmers Business Network (FBN) will host the third annual Farmer2Farmer event December 13th through 15th in Omaha, Nebraska.

Charles Baron serves as co-founder and vice president of products for FBN. Baron says the event allows farmers to meet with other farmers, who are some of the best in the country.

?FBN is a network of elite growers from the United States,? Baron said. ?What we always hear is – everyone loves getting to know each other. We create that (opportunity through) peer groups and focus sessions for everyone to evaluate their own business, talk to other leading farmers and create new business opportunities.?

Baron says this year?s Farmer2Farmer theme is ?Battle for Margin.?

?It?s been another tough year with commodity prices, and there (hasn?t been) a lot of relief on the input side. What?s the future of farm profitability? What?s the future of the farm business model? That?s what we?re getting everyone together to talk about, (as) it?s a critical issue as we go into 2018,? Baron said.

Farmer2Farmer will feature multiple sessions. Session topics include: new, crop marketing opportunities, tax strategies for tough markets and the economics of no-till and cover crops. The event will also feature guest speakers: Kevin O?Leary, from Shark Tank and Rob O?Neill, a Navy Seal who helped take down Osama Bin Laden.
