Farmers everywhere get frustrated over price transparency especially when it comes to buying seed. A company consisting of a network of farmers now offers a tool to help. Farmers Business Network now offers seed price transparency.

?We have over 5,000 seed invoices. If you share price invoices, you can compare your prices to what other farmers are paying in the network. That has taken off like crazy because farmers everywhere have been frustrated by knowing what a fair market price is for seed as well as chemical,? FBN Co-Founder, Charles Baron says.

Baron says the information is accurate.

?It is a verified invoice. We look at every single invoice. We require a picture or digital copy of that invoice. We can separate that out and evaluate all the discounts that are applied into the seed. We can evaluate the discounts that are applied into the seed and the difference between the list price and the discounts and whatever else.?

Baron says they are reporting on the paid price the farmer paid through their dealer or whomever they bought from.
