The clock is ticking, and an arbitrary deadline is coming soon. The United States ? Mexico ? Canada Agreement (USMCA) is still waiting to get moving in the United States House of Representatives. Many supporters of the deal are becoming worried the bill will not be brought up before the end of the legislative year, next month. However, there are some in the agriculture arena who think we still have a good chance of finishing it up.

Dale Moore is the Executive Vice President of the American Farm Bureau Federation. He says he expects to hear good news on USMCA very soon.

Moore says the House and Senate will vote, up and down, on USMCA. However, there are a few things that must happen first.

Moore says he is encouraged that Canada is ready to pass USMCA as soon as we do, especially with the reelection of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Mexico ratified the agreement earlier in the year.
