With surprising speed and bipartisan cooperation, the United States Senate on Wednesday passed its version of the 2018 Farm and Food Bill. That was the easy part.
Keep in mind, the House of Representatives had a showdown on its version and received no Democratic votes. It went down the first time it was tried, but passed on the second.
The two bills will now be conferenced into a final piece that will go back to both houses for ratification and then to the President for a signature. There are likely to be many twists and turns ahead.
